Zermatt PeaksDuring your stay in Zermatt, be it just a few days if you are on the Glacier Express Tour, or longer, you will want to get up into the mountains. Whatever your level of fitness the excellent cable cars and mountain trains in Zermatt make reaching the peaks a pleasure, and if you are feeling adventurous you can always walk down on some of the well marked mountain paths. Take the underground funicular to the marmot observation area and then the gondola/cable car for fabulous views. Rothorn Paradise at Sunrise - £41 adults, £28 children return fare See the Matterhorn at sunrise and experience a magical dawn of colours as the sun comes up over Zermatt.
