Kandersteg is THE place for walking in Switzerland. The pretty town is in one of the the most spectacular valleys and has marked trails all around. Don't miss a trip up the cable-car up to the Oeschinensee, a glistening blue lake, dramatically surrounded by jagged peaks. For pristine mountain walking it doesn't get much better than the mountain resort of Kandersteg.
