Resort Information
Set against the back-drop of the magnificent peaks of the Bernese Oberland and the pearlescent lakes it sits between, Interlaken is an unbeatable location for exploring this stunning area with a fabulous network of trains, buses, mountain railways, ferries and lake steamers bringing it all within easy reach. Our accommodation is in Interlaken and Bönigen. Interlaken is a bustling town on the banks of the river Aare, between lakes Thun and Brienz, with pavement cafés, shops and ports on both lakes. Bönigen is a charming village on Lake Brienz, just a short journey from Interlaken, characterized by its lakeside promenades and quaint chalets.
Our Opinion
• Very popular, bustling holiday destination • A visit to the Schynige Platte botanical gardens offers spectacular views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau • A trip up on the Jungfraujoch to the 'Land of the Eternal Snow' and the UNESCO Natural World Heritage site is a must • Take a cruise on Lake Brienz to Brienz for a traditional wood carving village or Lake Thun to Thun for an awe-inspiring medieval town
