NEW to Thomson the Glaciers of Europe Tour will take you to three of the most iconic mountain towns in the Alps. To give you the best value for money a 3 day regional pass is included in each of the resorts. Starting in Grindelwald, the Jungfrau VIP pass will take you to the eternal snows at the Jungfraujoch and for the duration of the pass unlimited travel on the mountain trains in Grindelwald, Wengen and down to the lakeside town of Interlaken. Travel through the spectacular scenery of the Bernese Oberland before climbing up to Zermatt. With your three day Peak Pass, you will have unlimited travel on Zermatt's 4 main lifts; travel to the Glacier and viewing tower on the top of the Klein Matterhorn for awesome views of Switzerland's most famous mountain - the Matterhorn. The final destination on the tour swaps countries and travels to vibrant Chamonix and Europe's tallest mountain Mont Blanc. With the included 3 day Mont Blanc Unlimited Pass you will be able to get stuck into the excellent hiking available and travel up the Aiguille de Midi cable car for unrivalled views of the magnificent Mont Blanc.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Grindelwald
Fly to Geneva. Rail transfer through the Bernese Oberland to the mountain resort of Grindelwald (approx 3hrs 30mins). Check into the Hotel Derby for 3 or 4 nights.
Grindelwald:
The Eiger takes pride of place in the views around Grindelwald. Using your Jungfrau Vip pass travel up to the Jungfraujoch with its eternal snow for breathtaking views. On another day, from Klein Scheidegg take the Eiger Trail back to Alpiglen.
Day 4 or 5: Travel to Zermatt
Rail transfer to Zermatt (approx 3hrs). Check into the Hotel Jaegerhof for 3 or 4 nights.
Zermatt: Using your Peak Pass take a trip up the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gondola to the top of the Klein Matterhorn, for summer snow and awesome alpine views. Hire an off-road trotti scooter for a bit of gravity aided fun on the Schwarzsee Paradise.
Day 8: Zermatt to Chamonix
Rail transfer from Zermatt to Chamonix (approx 4hrs). Check into the Hotel Park Suisse for 3 or 4 nights.
Chamonix: With your Mont Blanc Unlimited pass, the Aiguille du Midi cable car will take you to some close up views of Europe's tallest peak - keep an eye out for climbers on their ascent. As well as being an excellent hiking destination Chamonix is a great place for a spot of mountain biking, there are trails to suit all abilities and styles of riding.
Day 11 or 12: Mini bus taxi transfer to Geneva airport for your return flight (approx 1hr 20mins).

Please note: There is no rep on arrival at the airport but you will receive a pre-departure call from your rep to answer any questions. A full itinerary will be sent with your tickets and a rep will be on-hand in the resorts of Grindelwald & Zermatt (not Chamonix or on train journeys). It is necessary to change trains on some of the rail transfers between resorts.
