Strollers
There are lake side walks and alpine meadows as made famous by Heidi, with cable cars that can take you to some lovely spots without exerting to much energy. Located on a sunny platte just above Davos and a perfect place for a stroll, the Schatzalp Botanical Gardens has a wide range of flora. The species originate from various corners of the world. Ramblers
Davos and its neighbour Klosters offer a good mix of walking for a range of abilities with 700 kilometres of marked trails in the area. With the Davos Inclusive card ramblers are able to use the mountain railways and cableways system to get to numerous staring points for the walks on offer in the region. As well as four marked nature trails ranging from 3/4 of an hour to 2 hours, there are learning trails. The learning trails from mountain paths on the Jakobshorn to geological and historical paths all offer great opportunities to discover the Davos region.
Hikers
For the more confident walker or hiker there are some paths winding there way up towards the peaks of Davos and the Graubunden region. Within close proximity to Davos there are plenty of peaks well over 2000 metres above sea level, all with there own challenges and spectacular views. The tourist centre offers a download service, they have a whole host of detailed hiking route maps that can be downloaded on to some mobile phones and GPS devices.
