Resort Information
Nestling in the Gardena valley between the unmistakable peaks of the Dolomite mountains, Selva really is a walker's dream resort. Cable cars take you up to the colourful, flower covered meadows which lie at the foot of some of the most awe inspiring and unique mountain formations in the world, such as the unmistakable Sassolungo, from where paths crisscross over the spectacular countryside. For the less energetic, the welcoming Tyrolean ambience in Selva and the amazing views will ensure a relaxing holiday. Should you wish to explore further afield, Selva is also well placed for day trips to the historic cities of Innsbruck and Bolzano.

Getting About
Explore the wonderful scenery of the surrounding Dolomites. The lift and bus systems are extensive and interlink extremely well.
Strollers
Plenty of relatively easy strolls and an efficient lift system (open from approx. mid-June). Follow the old railway line down to Ortisei or take the pretty route up the Langental/Vallunga.
Ramblers
There are any number of intermediate walks and provided you are prepared to climb 300m, virtually the whole valley is accessible. There are many rambles running between 3-8 hours.
Hikers
Challenging hikes are in abundance in the Sella group and the possibility of an overnight stay in one of the many mountain refuges extends the available possibilities. For those in search of thrills, there are many via ferrata routes across the Dolomites.
