One of the largest towns on the Lake; Desenzano is one of the most cosmopolitan, equally popular with Italians, as it is with foreign visitors, who come to relax and enjoy the shingle beaches on either side of the town. Even if you prefer to shop in style, Desenzano will leave you spoilt for choice, with a vast selection of fashionable boutiques crammed into its narrow streets, famous weekly market along with countless tempting gelaterias and pavement cafés. Excellent ferry service to explore Lake Garda and a nearby train station with rail connections to Venice and Verona ensure that Desenzano is also a perfect base for exploring the region.
