Porec is unsurprisingly the number one holiday resort in Istria. It has it all; steeped in history, within the old town there are wonderful narrow stone cobbled streets, dating back to Roman times. Amongst the numerous historical sites, the beautifully preserved, 6th Century Euphrasian Basilica, with its fabulous mosaics, is a must. There are beaches to discover, plenty of boat trips to enjoy and a vast array of places to be visited from Poreč. The town is a great place to relax after sunset, where restaurants and bars come to life. Sample some fantastic seafood or try a cocktail in one of the many bars.
