Resort Information
On the southern slopes of the Tennen mountains just 45 kms from Salzburg, Werfenweng is a a small, secluded village offering a multitude of activities, walking and sports as well as traditional festivals and concerts. Ideal for families, the resort offers excellent value for money with our all inclusive hotel. Also included is the tourist office unique 'soft mobility' programme which gives you FREE use of a variety of electric vehicles, bikes and even "Elois", a chauffeur driven electric car - the perfect way to explore this beautiful area!

Getting About
FREE use of electric cars and scooters is an easy and fun way to get about within the car-free village. The IKARUS cable car, 800m from the village centre, operates daily from 28/06-07/09, and on weekends only during early and late season. There is a shuttle service to Bischofshofen (10 min journey) every 2 hours (approx. €2.70 per adult/€1.40 per child).
Sightseeing
There is no Thomson rep in the village but days out can easily be organised through the tourist office, departing from Bischofshofen: • vintage bus to visit an open air museum • steam train ride • visit a brewery • visit Hallein's salt mines • take a train to visit Salzburg (1hr) or Zell am See (50mins).
