St. Wolfgang is world renowned for its beautiful 15th Century church and the 'White Horse Inn' made famous by the Operetta of the same name. Its traditional centre is a maze of cobbled streets lined with attractive frescoed houses, shops and cafés, with their terraces boasting superb lake views. Lake steamers carry you across to nearby resorts, while the rack-and-pinion railway takes you up to the peak of the Schafberg. Culture and music are very much part of St. Wolfgang's fine tradition, with regular events taking place all summer.
Our opinion
