Walking
St. Wolfgang offers 130km of marked paths with varying difficulty and length. Begin with a leisurely stroll along the side of the lake and take in the charm, elegance and atmosphere of this pretty town. The walk through the trees across to Strobl rewards you with fantastic views down the lake back towards St. Wolfgang. For the more adventurous a walk up to the Falkenstein rock and down into St. Gilgen is a must - the ferry service makes the perfect way to return.

Take a boat from one of the ferry points, or take the Schafberg mountain railway for some excellent trails. St. Wolfgang is linked to the other areas of the Salzkammergut by bus or walking trail providing a large variety of walking.
