Walking

With 300km of well marked trails to suit all abilities, Ischgl is a hiker’s paradise from which all this is waiting to be explored. Taking a leisurely walk from Ischgl to the villages of Galtür, See or Kappl will send you on a journey through time discovering the local myths and legends in this Tyrolean valley. Hiking towards the peaks, tramping alongside glacial paths will reward you with captivating views from the summit – plus there’s plenty of opportunity to re-fuel at one of the 18 mountain huts along the way. Head out of an international adventure and follow the ancient smuggler’s trail across the border into Switzerland to pick up a Swiss souvenir in the chocolate box style village of Samnaun.

There are some low level idyllic walking trails from Ischgl, leading to the nearby villages of Galtür, Kappl and See.

With over 300km of walking routes, there is something for all levels. Take the lifts up into the mountains and take your pick from the variety of glorious trails.
Hikers
Using the summer lifts go up to the summit of the surrounding peaks or hike over the border into Switzerland for some duty free shopping.
